I think that with all important matters, it is best to discuss them with a child as early as possible. This would include the topic of our planet Earth and the importance of keeping it clean, fresh, and renewable for years and years. The earlier you teach a child that we have been gifted this planet and should treat it with the up most respect, the better chance they will grow up with nothing but adoration and reverence for the plant.
I’ve attached to this post an Earth Day Coloring Book I composed from pictures on the web. Please print the book out for your children to color.
And this is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen: a recipe for Rice Crispy Earth Balls! How cool is that? To add color to the treats, use natural food coloring or sugar like the products created at India Tree, or use other natural coloring products found locally.
**
3 Tablespoons butter (I use Earth Balance)
1 10-oz package of marshmallows (or 4 cups mini marshmallows)
6 cups crispy rice cereal (or brown rice cereal)
blue and green natural food coloring
pizza pan
- Melt butter (medium heat) in a medium to large pot.
- Add marshmallows, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted.
- Remove from heat and add cereal.
- Stir to combine them dump out onto the pizza pan.
- Shape the cereal mixture into small “globes.”
- Follow directions for using food coloring or food sugaring and add the color to the globes to resemble Mother Earth.
- Happy Earth Day!
While your children are coloring or making earth day balls, you can talk to them about what they love most about Earth and what they want to do to keep it in tip top shape for their children.

Do you like wordpress better than blogger?
Ive been wanting to switch blogs over to something more simple
Blogger has a lot of stuff like goodle reader that I dont know how to use or why i should use it and I wanted to switch to something less hectic lol
Is wordpress about the same or do you like it much better.
I would appreciate the input when you get a chance :}
I think they each have their perks. I actually think Blogger is simpler.
I like the reply feature on WordPress and the fact that you can see how much traffic is coming on your page each day through graphs.
If you ever want to advertise or get paid for blogging, I believe you can do that on Blogger, but not WordPress.
Blogger also seems more flexible as far as customizing your layout.
